John W. Johnson, Jr. ("Bud") has successfully recruited more than 300 top management executives in a wide range of industries and geographies. Having co-founded Johnson & Norinsky Associates LLC in early 2002, he was formerly Senior Managing Director of Webb, Johnson Associates LLC, which he and George Webb founded in the mid-1980’s. Bud is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board of Topmark Advisors.
Focusing on CEO/COO and Board of Directors assignments, he specializes in working with companies committed to business transformation with a realistic, sensible approach to governance. Under Bud's leadership, very successful pre-search, recruitment and advisory (consulting) engagements have been completed for financial services, media and publishing, healthcare and technology companies. General portfolio companies (public and private) are also on his roster of happy clients.
Bud spent the previous 24 years with Benton & Bowles (now a Publicis agency), where he was a Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors. He has served on the Board of The HealthCare Chaplaincy and as a former Director of The Bank of New York Westchester/Putnam. A former Navy pilot, Bud is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut with M.B.A. studies at New York University.
